Mail-in shoe repair

A local cobbler is not always the only option. Some repair shops accept footwear shipped to their workshop.

Our mail-in directory includes only shops that explicitly publish a mail-in repair policy.

Repair beyond your neighborhood

Looking for mail-in shoe repair?

Shops differ in what they accept, how they handle shipping, and whether they provide an estimate before beginning work.

A shop appears in our mail-in directory only when its own published information confirms that mail-in service is offered.

Check before you ship

  • Does the shop accept your type of footwear?
  • Is approval required before mailing an item?
  • How are estimates and return shipping handled?
  • What turnaround time does the shop publish?

Confirm current policies directly with the repair shop before shipping anything.

Understanding repair costs

A published price is a reference, not a quote

Shoe repair pricing depends on the work involved, the materials used, and the condition of the item. Shops may publish standard menu items while requiring an individual quote for other repairs.

What the price index shows

Our national price index groups comparable published menu items by service.

When usable records exist, it displays the observed price range, the number of published menus contributing to that range, and the latest checked date.

What the index does not assume

A shop listing a repair service does not mean it publishes a price for that service.

Unpublished, inspection-dependent, or quote-only work receives no invented estimate. Individual menu wording is preserved in the underlying shop records.
